Here's an odd one -- an Eddie Collins postcard that was postmarked in Paita, Peru in 1914. Does anyone know what it says?

I think it says something about talking to a doctor at an office and receiving something from a friend, but my Spanish isn't quite what it used to be.

Since Doctor Equiguren did not go to Lima, I want to forward the cards (or letters) that you recommended to Piura.

I am now at Piura's office where I would be please to serve you. Send my warmest regards to your brother Victor.

Best regards from your friend.

Felix Rebolledo

No baseball content but sent from Lima to Brookline Mass.

Thanks, Peter. I'd love to know how this Sporting News postcard ended up in Lima.

I like how the postmark was placed between the bat and Collins head.
If it was higher or lower it wouldn't be as pleasing.

I don't think that was called for. An honest question and you have to say that? Very low class!!

I agree with Rawn. That kind of comment has no place on this board.
