I have (2) rare All Star bats for sale.

1. 1953 Gil Hodges Bat from Cincinnati Game
I would classify it as game issued. Gil did not normally use
His All Star bats and kept them for keepsakes.

2. 1949 Andy Pafko Bat from only All Star Game played
In Brooklyn. Very rare bat. Autographed on barrel. Again,
I call it game issued with some marks probably due to handling
and not actual game use although he had 3 at bats in the game.

I just looked at the bat and there is nothing there although I clearly see on the original picture the diamond shape you mention. There is nothing to indicate it fell off the bat or anything like that. I have posted a new picture at the bottom.
