Default Renata Galasso/TCMA question

I am researching Renata Galasso Inc. trying to properly identify some of my Cubs cards.
I have two cards – 14 and 18 which on the back says RGI 1983 5th Series with RG logo. My SCD (2008) says RGI had a 1983 All Star Series 1-43 + 2 un-numbered team cards.

I have 206 210 222 and 254 that say RGI 1983 5th Series on back with RG logo.

Then I have 2 27 29 51 59 62 72 78 84 115 159 160 161 with YEAR TCMA on back with RGI logo but no Series designator on the back.
These all seem to correspond to the 1977 TCMA RGI Series checklist from WIKI.

I also have a 1980 TCMA 115 with no logo.

My question is how many different sets are there -
- a RGI Series numbered set,
– a 1983 RG All Star set 1-43,
- a TCMA 1977-1984 RGI set
- and maybe a blank back set?

If not, where do my 1983 All Star RGI cards 14 and 18 belong? Did RGI maybe do a separate 1983 All Star set as listed in my SCD but re-number the cards from the 5th Series of an original RGI Set?

Thanks.

Some scans would help too.

I bought a lot of that stuff back when it was being sold via mail by TCMA and RGI.

Most photo hosting sites have easy click links to add photos to sites, message boards, etc.

For example, I use photobucket. You click on the photo you want to share and then to the side, there is a list of "shared links" that you can select. I use the bottom one to post to message boards and it works great.

It gets you this:

So I have to scan it in then send it to some photo hosting site then post it on here, correct?
Thanks,
Jim

i don't know of a different way to load a picture otherwise unless the site itself hosts the photo, which I don't think this one does.

If you have been to some of the blog sites, they will allow you to directly upload photos into your posts.

If you have the scan on your computer, you can upload it with your message. When composing your message, look above where you're typing. There is a paperclip. Click that and a box will appear. Click the "Choose File" button and locate the picture on your computer. Click it. Then click "Open" at the bottom. Then click "Upload" when you're back in the box that appeared previously. You should be good to go at that point.

That last one looks like a print error, where the company info wasn't included.

Looks like these cards were eventually issues through 6 series and numbered into the 200s from what I have been reading this afternoon.

This has a pretty good bit of info on her and the set.

I agree with the print error which is what I thought. The listing I have for the six series goes from 1-270; however, the numbers 14 and 18 which on the back says RGI 1983 5th Series with RG logo are Woody English and Gabby Hartnett, 1933 All Stars, which according to the Series list 1-270 are supposed to be in Series 5 numbered 182-226. This is the reason for my question. Thanks for helping me figure out how to get the scan on.

Hartnett could be an uncorrected error, where the incorrect number was used. If you had the entire run, it might be easier to tell if his was the only non sequential card number. Also, whoever is #18 in series 1 might show that this is a reused number.

I'm fairly certain I don't have all 6 series, but I'll have to see if I can find my sets and see what i do have.

I have a checklist for the 1977 Renata Galasso Greats that I printed off the Baseball-Almanac site. Number 14 on the checklist is Richie Ashburn vice the Woody English I have and Number 18 is Jackie Jensen vice the Gabby Hartnett I have. In addition my 2008 SCD lists a 1983 Renata Galasso 1933 All Stars with 14 as English and 18 as Hartnett but only shows the front. This SCD also lists the 1977 set as TCMA/Renata Galasso and it says "shows large Galasso ad and TCMA dateline.

I thought I had more sets, but only series 1 (1-45) 1977 and then another set from 1980 (mid 100s numbers, but couldn't see them w/o glasses). i guess the rest of mine were random singles.
