What are people thinking?

If I were looking to buy a big lot of cards...

I MAY be suspicious if it didn't say specifically what I was getting

I MAY be suspicious if the dealer said he knew NOTHING about cards

I MAY be suspicious if there were no scan

I MAY be suspicioyus if it were being run as a PRIVATE AUCTION

But..one thing for SURE: I KNOW that I WOULD be suspicious if the shipping charge was $300.00!! This guy must plan on renting a Porsche and delivering it in person!

Yes, it sounds expensive but you are getting 21 boxes each with 5000 cards. I have mailed a 4000 count box about 90% full and it cost over $9.00.

His postage quote is $14.28 per box - Not that far off.

I don't know why someone would want 105,000 most likely 1990 Donruss and 1988 Fleer sitting in their basement for the next seven years (Not that I speak from experience)-- but, if you're into that kind of stuff, 1cent plus per card might be deemed a reasonable price. I know of several charities that give out cheap trading cards to kids-- though they usually ask for them via donations.

I recently shipped a dumb NFL aluminum board game and the shipping cost be $15 usps.

For a guy who knows nothing about new cards he sure seems buy a lot of 'huge' collections and then offer them on eBay. And in his previous auction he didn't seem to have a problem breaking things down into smaller lots.

It's really sad that so many people do not do even a minimal amount of research on the person they are buying from.

You've got to love a guy who tells you to check his feeback and bid with confidence... and when you do you find that he has 52 positives and 2 negatives... wow, only about 4% of the people who deal with you are unhappy. I'd brag about that too...
