Default Alexander Karelin

Just showing off one of my favorite cards. His only issue, I believe. 2 PSA 9s, 1 PSA 10. Arguably the most dominant athlete ever -- he went a decade without giving up even a single point. I guess Olympic wrestlers don't get the hobby love that the entertainers get, but whatever.

PS despite appearances Karelin was an intellectual, an accomplished chess player and devotee of the arts.

He is available to do custom drawings in graphite, charcoal and other media. He also sells some of his works as note cards/greeting cards on Etsy under JamesSpaethArt.

Completely agree. I've had that card on my wishlist for quite a while now. His wrestling history is pretty incredible. I think his career record is something like 900-2.

Great card.

Default Karelin

One of my dream cards to get autographed. I take it with me when I go to international events just in case! I have this in PSA 9 right now and one at PSA and I believe I still have a raw somewhere.

Karelin is also on this Grolier card featuring the remarkable loss to Rulon Gardner, although the card names only Gardner.

It's interesting how many athletes there were that totally dominated a sport for their entire careers.
And how little attention they get.
