Need opinions on Ruth signature
I know it's a bit faint, but does it look to be the real thing?

I think it looks ok. What is it, an all star ball? If you post pictures of the other signatures that might help.

I can only make out the B and the R but they look correct to me. Ball looks period correct as well.

Looks good to me, especially with that age/wear
By the Way what causes that type of wear?? Is it from old shellac flaking off taking the ink too? Or is is it modern scuffing (damage) of the aged surface? Or is it just the top layer of leather deteriorating? Was curious, Ive never collected baseballs, but have seen many like this from that Era. |

Am I imaging it or does it looked slightly traced?

Mickey Cochrane???
Is that Cochrane's signature above the Ruth?...I agree w/Matt that some of the other signatures on the ball could help in determining authentication.
