Default Can Someone Please Help Explain These Grades

Correct me if I am wrong, but is it typical that a card missing an edge gets a 2

... or that a card with writing on the front gets a 3?

Submitter must be dating someone at PSA. That PSA 3 Clarke with writing on the front should be a 1.

I can see the word only on the front and it appears to be in the correct position on the front to be a bleed through from the back. Anyone else see it that way?

Like someone on here is fond of saying; "Buy the card, not the grade."

That 2 looks really nice aside from the chunk missing along the top..

If I submitted those cards I would probably get them can not holder you submitted them upside down.
These grading companies can be a bunch of clowns sometimes. Oh, why not most of the times......

I had to really look to find the writing, maybe the grader just missed it. Hopefully he isn't as blind as me. I am going to state that I think a 2 on the chipped corner is a fair grade. The card is gorgeous other than that defect. Dan.

People overanalyze chunks missing from corners sometimes. That is a beautiful card which has about as much paper missing as a GVG corner would through normal wear, but the other three corners are nice. I feel that is a nice 2 if anything.

Unless Im missing something, I dont believe that there is writing on the front of the clarke. I see the word "only" written backwards (along with some other markings) to the left of clarke's head. This appears to be bleed through from the back of the card or a wet transfer from another card (look at the reverse - the word "only" appears in the exact spot in relation to the word on the front).
