$10 delivered for a pivotal player in the 1919 Black Sox affair and one of the greatest lightweight champions of all time- not too shabby

Does anyone know if Sleepy Bill Burns appears in any card sets (and if so, under what moniker)?

offhand i know Burns is in the t206 set, just 'Burns, chicago amer'

On the card hes got the glove on the wrong hand/throwing with the wrong hand.It can be picked up pretty cheap in decent shape, little if any extra value added on for him, 1.5x common prices at the most

That is a really undervalued card. I picked up a slabbed SGC60 I think for under $25.

The only cards I know of are as follows:

1) T206 (13 possible backs)
2) T3
3) T5

He had a rep for throwing fights too. He was so good that he could carry a fighter to the appointed round then KO him at will.

he guessed in one guess what I was going to bid on. The T206 pictured above has one of those dreadful registers in which the eyeballs are in EXACTLY the wrong place. Adam: I never saw THAT card before--like it better than the T218.

Does Maharg have any cards? (Graham). Nother gambler, ex sport.

A couple of years ago Sotheby's had an incredible monster sized early 1900s photo of Abe in tuxedo and white gloves, signed by Abe and dedicated to his mother. That thing belonged in an art museum. I tried to convice Julie that she should bid, but she didn't take my advice.

But then none of the cards in that set are easy to find. IMHO Attell has a triple-whammy that tends to keep his T227s in collections: HOF boxer, Jewish and Black Sox connected.
