Default When did Gehrig's wife start signing for him?

When did she start signing for him or when did he stop signing?

By 1940 Gehrig could no longer write, and everything from then on was either rubber-stamped or signed by Eleanor.

However, she did sign for him occasionally before his illness, as well.

Though obviously not signed by his wife, most 1939 Yankee team balls were ghost signed and not authentically signed by Gehrig.
