Default Whatever happened to...old ebay auction (wall display)

Posted By: Dave

A couple months ago there was an auction for a framed display with T206's and even some T210's or something else glued to a display. I believe there was some newspaper behind some of the cards. There was a green Cobb portrait along with some other HOF'ers and a few southern leaguers...anybody remember what I'm talking about? I was thinking Brian W had won it...but not sure...? I'm just curious if the cards ever came off...

Of course they didn't come off... That would require soaking them. And that would be a sinful, horrible, evil, deceitful thing to do. So I'm sure that the cards didn't get dampened, soak of just fine, making them collectible and enjoyable again.

Ahh...but one never knows. According to the seller at that time a couple card had already fallen off on thier own. Anyway..even if the cards were stuck...a good swift kick to the back of the display board may drop a couple...and that wouldn't be altering would it? ha ha

Hi Guys,
The display is still 99% intact, as 3 cards have fallen off. All were Piedmont 150/350 backs, so I'm assuming that most of the cards are Piedmont and Old Mill. I don't plan on "soaking" them off anytime soon, as it would take quite a bit of time and energy to complete the project. I might give it a shot sometime next winter when I have time, but right now, it's on the wall..... Be well Brian

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the advice, but the "kicking the crap" out of the back won't work on this piece. It's mounted on very heavy Card/Partical board along with a newspaper insert, so it will take a bit of time and patience to remove the cards without damage. And during March Madness I don't have enough time or cold beer to get it done.....Be well Brian
