I just acquired this neat "little rascal".....yes, I've completed my Sovereign set. But, I continue to buy the Sovereign's.
It's an addiction I cannot yet stop; anyhow, my Mordecai Brown needed upgrading and this one was priced right. This
one is a definite upgrade (it was a PSA 5).....but, now let's just call it the old-fashioned way.....an "Excellent" card.

Also, picked up another 1934 Canadian Goudey for my set, which is a low priority project.

Any recommendations on research/history for the E104-1, D359s and T208s "World's Champions 1910" overprints? This was an E104-1 pickup. How tough are these?

These scans are so big we are going to have to start another thread the day after this one started. You guys really need to hit the preview button before posting. IF the scans are HUGE don't post it. Scans this size will make this thread unmanagable in about 1-2 days....If you right click on your scans and open them with paint then you will be able to resize them before posting...for future reference....regards

I picked this up a few days ago on eBay. Nice to have a single item that has 2 of the catchers that I collect.

Just acquired an EPDG card of Chase for my T206 multi T-brand collection of my favorite players.

I still need the following to complete all the possible backs for this Chase card.....

Carolina Brights, DRUM, Lenox, Piedmont 460/42, Red Hindu, Sweet Cap 350/30, Sweet Cap 460/30, Sweet Cap 460/42.....

and perhaps a Broad Leaf 460....to my knowledge, this back has never been confirmed on this Chase card.

My Chase (blue portrait) collection to date.....the face card is a Piedmont 350.

The Carolina Brights Ty Cobb used to reside in a GAI 2 holder. I think SGC was a little harsh grading it as poor.

My cards are always "very crisp and vibrant".....to quote you.

I have a small EPSON Stylus CX3810 scanner and I highly recommend it. It is a 3-in-1
device and its quality/cost factor is hard to beat.

I look forward to seeing you and your Dad....and, your "goodies". I am at Booth #308.

Regards,
TED Z

It is a pretty difficult card to find with perfect registration.

Many have that white line on either side of Jackie's face (poor registration) - yet they still get high grades from the grading companies.

One of my main gripes about the Grading services is......that as long as the four corners are sharp, a card will get
a High grade. Although, it might have printer's streaks....may be out of registration....or, its borders are toned (in-
stead of white), etc., etc.

amazing to see so many high grade cards with poor registration.

It seems that the grading companies concentrate on grading the 'paper' - and hardly ever look at the ink on that paper (except in cases of OC).

Streaks would bother me as well... as would spots.

I have to say though - paper toning doesn't bother me one bit (as long as it doesn't hurt the eye-appeal).
