What are your thoughts on people rushing to ebay to list autographs after someone has passed?

I don't really think the demand boost makes sense (but then again, people aren't exactly logical). It's not like anyone buying just learned who Hank Aaron is today and got interested.

Trying to profit off someone's death may be good economics, but it hardly strikes me as particularly ethical. Players cards go up when they have been in the news recently for almost any reason, but it's the death spike listings that I find a little less than classy.

I am working on some signed sets. When I hear of a passing, I look for the cards I need if they are a decent price. The market can dry up fast on some of these, especially latin players. Another thing that happens is people do list some of the harder signed cards to cash in, which helps collectors working on sets also.

Happens every time whenever a notable - like Aaron passes. Reminds me of cockroaches fleeing the light, profiteering ghouls suddenly appear in unison. Same crap happened with Kobe.
