Default Autographs from my youth

I guess that I had a lot of idle time in my early teens. These are a portion of the autographs I got when I was around 13-14 years old....almost 60 years ago.
I thought I'd put up images of some of the cool items.
Some of the signatures are obviously not authentic, such as on the SF Giants card, it appears that Matty Alou signed for Juan Marichal as well as the Marichal signature. On the Yankees card I have doubts about the Roger Maris, but because it was kind of squeezed in, who knows.

I absolutely love the autographs and vintage photos! Good job Richie. Of all the items in my collection, the ones I covet are the ones I got when I was a kid in the 50s and 60s.

There are obviously some clubhouse/secretarial interspersed throughout, but the hilarious thing is that the Tigers piece is completely clean! They were notorious for clubhouse signatures, especially in this era.

Those are awesome, and must have been great fun to put together.

I still have the autographs I collected at spring training games when I was 9 years old in Clearwater, Florida.

I have posted a number of the autographs from this book from time to time, but have never posted the autograph book, now nearly 70 years old. My mother threw away my cards, but for some reason she kept the autographs.

There are over 100 autos within, including Campanella and Stengel to name a couple.

I have come to believe that women think one of the key responsibilities of motherhood is throwing out baseball cards.
