Default 1906 Cubs Champions Team Postcard

Rarer Cubs postcard - this is much rarer than the V.O. Hammon postcard normally seen of the team. Perhaps some more searching can turn up another but did a quick search and found this one that sold in Legendary in 2005.

Card was published in 1906 and has a postmark and date on the front of November 5, 1906. Card refers to 1907 Champions since they were Champs at end of 1906 and carry that honor through the 1907 season until they are unseated.

Writing says, "They're all right. We'll hear from them again next Summer. Best Regards, Mica" On October 14th of that year, the White Sox beat the Cubs in the World Series 4-2 so this postcard is lamenting that loss.

$240
