Agreed! That Aaron RC is a stunner!

I also really like that Lombardi W711 shown earlier. Very nice looking example from that scarce set!

As a 2nd grader in 1985 I basically forgot about baseball cards when Garbage Pail Kids were out and hot. Actually remember trading most of my baseball cards for GPKs, and was willing to give just about anything for 1st or 2nd series which were tough to get. Everyone in school had them and were sticking them all over desks, books, buses, etc. It's crazy looking back on how twisted some of those things were, but as kids we ate em up.

About 15-20 years ago I grabbed a couple each of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th series sets and some 1st series pack for a few bucks. Prices have gone up substantially since, with individually graded 1st series cards and packs getting several hundred bucks, and sets 1-7 just fetching $3500 in REA.
https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...e?itemid=67558

During the virus shutdown, I added a binder and the 5th and 6th series. Digging them out of the closet and sticking them all in a binder was a great midweek/midday boredom killer.

Love the GPKs. I remover them fondly, along with wacky packages. Snagged me a set of GPK series 1 a few years ago.

Wow Steve, congrats. That is a tough combo. Does that mean there may be a VE batting version of Wagner out there?

Yeah they are hard to come by. On the batting pose, the SS is also a lot less common than the 2b. At least from what I've seen, I don't follow the numbers a whole lot.

Congrats on the pickup Steve, and thanks for the easy transaction. Pretty amazing, the set you have going...

Default Two new Des Moines schedules

Picked up couple schedules I'd never seen before. Insurance agency schedule, 1951, looks like it has Gehrig on it. The matchbook is a 1950 schedule.

Nice T205's DavidM, here are a couple more from Leon on bst. Many high grade cards in all grades from that offering. For T205's, I think the SGC insert is a little better, as it does not obscure the border like the PSA holder.

Nice, T216, Steve.

Steve, CONGRATS on picking up such a rare card. Now then, I ask that you kindly focus on finding me a Hugh Jennings card with this same Kotton "NGO" back for my Jennings back run.

I agree. The PSA cards might sell for more, but the black border on the SGC cards helps them look nicer and you can see the whole border.

Thanks, guys. This one is definitely exciting for me, and I love that I need not care about condition. The card looks great in person.

Ryan, yes, theoretically, Wagner can be found in both s.s. Pittsburg batting and s.s. Pittsburg throwing with a Virginia Extra back, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for any examples to surface. They may just be lost to history...

Steve - great Wagner!

I was able to knock out some big pieces for my M101-2 set this month, including Wagner, one of the super-tough double-size team cards (also with Wagner), and the big card of the set Also happens to be the first JJax card I've owned, very excited.

Also picked up this beautiful T3 Mordecai Brown from the BST.

I am terrible with words I was trying to compliment the cards. The scan quality is nice but the cards are fantastic!

Default May Pickups

Some additions to the 1949 San Francisco Seals Tour of Japan collection. Lefty O'Doul, Frank Strick Shofner and Roy Partee. I realize they are occupation years cards, so I hope it's still ok to post here.

Thanks ... Tim
