Leon, you may remember, I did the first one circa 2007, was a T206 BL460 Common (Stahl, I believe). Went well. There hasn't been any since then?

Actually not sure I remember that but my memory sucks.
I remember when I auctioned a 50kish card on the forum. As I remember, that was the test to see if they would work....but yours might have been earlier. I don't remember. But being your card I am sure you Do remember...

I was just thinking about the catch 22 in my rules I posted. It says "I reserve the right to make changes to this auction."

Can you imagine if an AH put that in their terms?

I don't see any changes to be made at this point and I very highly doubt there will be. But still, that rule.....

Odds on someone sniping the first auction at end? (bidding at the last second)

So far so good on that auction, already thinking about the next. It will be a board members card if someone wants to give it a go? And I will choose the person if there are multiple requests and that will be based on participation on the forum.

I am happy already. I bought this a yr ago on the board and we know how things have gone in a year. I upgraded it is the reason it's being sold.

So the first auction has passed and I thought it went fine. The card is already paid for and is shipping out today.

I thought pinned for 2 days was fine but will listen to suggestions.

More thoughts?

And we are ready for the next one so if anyone wants to try one please PM me and discuss.

since we are not going to be overloading the auction threads - I think it would be fine to pin the one thread for the duration-

Hi

I agree with Tom if it is only 1 at a time we should pin it to the top from the start to give everyone including the seller the best opportunity
IF we start doing multiple auctions at once then perhaps only pin it the last 2 days

That didn’t last long. 🤔. It’s almost as if I could see the future.

There was another thread after that and I posed the question.
Members didn't seem to care. Most will be older than this one

Seriously, it’s not my business. It’s your forum, I was just busting your chops a little. I hope you are doing well, and thanks for running this show. I appreciate it.

No problem, Ed. It's always been my pleasure from day one.

I was thinking about something else with these auctions and want to get some feedback.

While I doubt we want a long list of items being auctioned in one of these, what if we were to let folks do 1 or 2 at a time? We could have a distinct rule that all bids have to have an A or a B next to them, or something like that. A little more action might not be bad...Same rule of they have to sell and need to be a few hundred or so dollars each...

Thanks for all of the feedback. The answer seems to be, I don't think it matters
This will not be up for sale.
