Default RMY Spring Auction, Wow

I know Rhys has sold a lot of incredible pictures, and hopefully I've bought a few of them, but this is on another level. Gave me chills.

Wow. There's great photos and then there's truly iconic mind blowing historic photos like that.

I thought you were a seasoned veteran?

They've sold that photo at least 10 times:

https://rmyauctions.com/lots/gallery...=title&order=6

EDITED TO ADD - my error, this one is a Type 1, looks like maybe only 1 of those other 10 were a Type 1 looking at the prices. I guess many of you are Newbies. Good for RMY, new viewers/bidders.

Explains why the boom in prices in baseball cards. etc. Lots of newbies joining the game. Thus the rise in demand and prices.

I have a later original photo from the Korean War that was used in Life (called Landing at Inchon by Arthur Rickerby) that I have always thought was influenced by Into the Jaws of Death. It is amazing what these brave men were willing to do for our country and for freedom.

Was not expecting that - it is simultaneously stunning, haunting, and gratitude-provoking.
