Default Broad Leaf VS Carolina Brights

Hypothetical situation: you have the chance to buy one of these, which do you choose and why? Assuming both are in identical condition.

Card 1: Common Player Broad Leaf 350 back PSA 1(pop 4 total)-$2100

Card 2: Common Player Carolina Brights Back PSA 1(pop 4 total)-$1700

Just curious to hear the experts opinions on this situation! Thanks everyone who looks and replies!

I love the Carolina Brights look as well, but collecting T206 over 30 years, anecdotally I would say that Broadleaf seem much more rare. Seems like a few collectors have been hoarding CBs over the past 8-10 years.

Broadleaf. Lower population of 350 series as compared to CB. A Broadleaf 460 would be a steal at that price. Those are almost impossible to find in any condition.

Put me down as one more for Broadleaf, but it’s close.

I have two Carolina Brights and only one Broadleaf, so I have concluded they are twice as rare. Really can't go wrong either way. Check the bio of the player...you are likely to bond with one or the other.

Default Broad Leaf VS Carolina Brights

This is not a straight-forward situation with T206 cards.

As an example I give you his blue Chase Carolina Brights vs his Broad Leaf 350 cards. Both of these backs are equally rare (and extremely difficult to find).
Any Hal Chase collector will attest to this.

I’d go Broad Leaf. Among the players I try to collect, Ive at least seen a few Carolina Brights come up for auction, but never had a real shot at a Broad Leaf.

I pick Broadleaf. About 15 years ago, a Carolina Brights common was double the price of a Broadleaf.

To Ted's point, it also depends on the player, as certain poses present as a tougher combo (this holds true for many of the different backs). But, if it appears to be equal, common/common, etc...the edge goes to the Broad Leaf. Obviously this is for BL 350...once you start talking about BL 460, that's a different level. Only bested by Brown Lenox & Brown Old Mill (and of course Cobb Back).

Also, eye appeal factors in...can you share scans?
