Just a reminder....still looking for a Billy Klaus gamer for the family. The family is also on the boards but not sure how often they check this thread. If you have one I will certainly put you in contact with them.

Brendan!!! I wondered who ended up with that Milan bat...glad someone on here was the winner. I was probably the jackwagon inadvertently bidding it up...

I enjoy collecting all things Milan and had never seen a bat before...it was really a great pickup! Congrats.

I agree - great use on the Herndon. Love the Bergman bat. As a kid he hit me a ball duribg batting practice at Fenway Park in the 80s. (Of course used it during little league game.) So much psychological value to these things!
Not to hijack This Thread - but does anyone have a story of using memorabilia when they were a kid?

1986-89 P89 Don Reynolds, which was post-career by a large margin. Shows lots of use, so can somebody explain why it exists. Was independent ball around back then? Thanks

Sorry about the low-end photo quality, but I want to show off one of my latest Pirates bat. it's a Smoky Burgess bat dated to the World Champion 1960 season, it came today, and I have wanted one for a long, long time.

Here is another bat that I picked up last month. To most collectors, he is a famous pinch hitter. To my mind, he is part of the Pirates great outfield of the late 1960's:

Thanks for the kind words SICollector, Scott, and Mark. You have no idea how happy I am to finally land one of these. It fills a huge void in my collection.
