Eli is overthrowing or underthrowing on almost every play. At least the Giants got that strange safety.

as a looooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg suffering Cardinals fan who has been following the team since 1966 in St. Louis I am absolutely amazed that they are in the NFC CHampionship Game. Let's just hope they haven't peaked yet!

I'm a huge Vikings fan, even though I've now lived longer in AZ than MN. It's really hard to cheer for a team this week that I cursed and screamed at last week. Still, I'd be giddy if we got another game here in the desert, so go Philly (I guess). I had a 50 yard line ticket drop into my lap for the Falcons game, and can tell you, that place will be LOUD if the Championship game is played there.

Anyone paying attention in the playoffs realize that discipline wins games. Who in their right mind could bet the Giants after Plaxico shot himeslf. This by far was an easy bet getting the four because New York had lost 3 of it's last 4 and we saw that Carolina had nothing for the Cards and were overated.

Here is one more prediction the Super Chargers are going to bring it to the Steelers so get ready. Go SUPER CHARGERS is the Vegas chant in the Mirage. BRING THE NOISE!

There are few things in this world more prized than someone's analysis with 2 minutes left in the game of why the winning team was a good bet.

Once Plaxico took himself out, the Giants lost their one deep threat which required a double-team; thus defenses could use the extra defender to stop teh run. In the off-season, the Giants desperately need a big play receiver and a kicker that can make reasonably long field goals like the other 30 kickers in the league.

What's the line on the Eagles at Cardinals? Eagles should win by 10 with that defense.

Not that it matters much, but does anyone else have the feeling that Coughlin gets "that look" on his face when he opens a birthday present that doesn't really thrill him?

The NFC has gone to the birds - Eagles, Cardinals & Ravens.

I was born in Philly and am a life long Eagles fan. This is the year they win the Super Bowl.

Diehard Life long Eagles fan here too. What a crazy up and down season this has been. Regardless of how things play out, I will never forget standing with most of the capacity crowd at the Linc, crowded into the concourses before the Eagles Dallas game to watch Oakland come back and shock the Bucs. Go Birds!
Figured I would celebrate by showing off my Eagles Kail collection

The Jints should have given it to Jacobs on 4th & inches near the end of the half instead of kicking the FG. Also should have given it to him later in the game when Eli got snuffed on a 4th and 1 QB sneak.

Why bring a battering ram to the fight and then not use it?

Can't say I'm surprised by this; the Eagles are pretty much like the Jets -- without the single Super Bowl championship.

Jeff,as a New Yorker I am surprised at you. Maybe you forgot but Joe Willie played for the Jets and it was 40 years to the week since the greatest upset in Super Bowl History unless you debate the Giants of last Year. The Eagles would have been a great team if they could have won the big one but Andy Reid and Donovan Mcnabb just don,t have what it takes. IMHO

The NFL should be embarrassed by that lack of a pass interference call at the end.

One call does not make a game -- it shouldn't have come down to that one play anyway. The Eagles have been and always will be chokers.

In Curtis's defense, there was likely contact on that play, and if not for his 2 BIG plays earlier in the game the Eagles aren't even in the game at all.

Regardless of the contact and his previous catches, he needs to make that catch (hit him in the hands) with the game on the line.

What about the Ravens vs. Titans game last week. The ref made a bad call by letting the Raven's go past the play clock and that led them to scoring the game winning field goal. Why bother playing the game if a ref can't do his job right and it costs you the game?

Brock, one call was a clear clock error; the pass interference non-call was a judgment decision. The ball flew through Curtis's hands anyway. The refs could call offensive holding on every single play and they don't. While there was surely contact on the subject play, a flag is not thrown every time in that situation. The Eagles are the Eagles are the Eagles; it's always something.

Tough loss, but a good game and nothing to hold your head about.

The pass interference in MY EYES was more incidental contact but hey, I'm not a ref..

I agree with Marty. Besides what about the onside kick recovered by the Cardinals near the end of the half. It sure looked like the refs missed that one. I guess it all evened out for the Cardinals.

An incedental slap on the calf as Curtis was already going down would hardly qualify as interference. It had nothing to do with the missed catch and shouldn't affect the game.

The network and the sponsors are going crazy at the though of a Pittsburg-Arizona Super Bowl because of the lack of a big market team. An article the other day said the only sponsors for the Game would be Sham-Wow and Snuggies! LOL happy.gif
When I was a kid the two absolutely worst teams in the NFL, year in and year out, were the Pittsburg Steelers and the Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals. I'm happy for the Cardinal fans, the Steeler fans had the 70's. Good luck to the El Birdos.

Steelers dominated the 70s as they will the 2000s. It will be fun to watch my black and gold crush the Cardinals for Big Ben's #2! The sad thing is that Pittsburgh really have not had a tough matchup yet. I like Kurt Warner as a battler, but I am sorry.....he cannot possibly match the strength of the Steeler defense. I do not think that the Cardinals can stop their awesome offense either.

GO STEELERS!

It makes me sick as a Giants fan to see how Plaxico Burress ruined their season. They beat both Arizona and Pittsburgh on the road this year and also beat Philly and Baltimore. It just shows how one selfish jerk and change the season for a team. And a message for Doug who thinks Eli stinks, I was just wondering how many Superbowl rings Mcnabb has?

CN, I agree. One guy killed the Giants' season. As upset as I was last week, I had great hope that the Eagles would play today as, well, the Eagles. They did not disappoint.
