Default hockey rookie cards question

Posted By: ockday

It appears from PSA's set registry that many of the hockey hall of fame "rookie cards" come from 1983,1985 etc Hall of Fame postcards.
Is there any place to buy a complete set of these and if so about how much should it cost.
Thanks,
Alan

Default hockey rookie cards question

Very few you will find are graded. You can find the set raw on eBay every once in a while. You hardly ever see singles.

It comes in two sets. Set 1 is cards 1-240. Set 2 is 241-261. Set 2 is tougher to find as it was issues a bit later (1987), but neither is that tough. You should be able to find this entire raw set in the $100 or less range, but in order to get all of them in 8's or better you probably have to buy dozens of sets. I know I did.

Just e-mail if you have more questions as I don't check the forum that often.

BTW, even though they are called postcards these cards are regular size. But be aware they actually do come as postcards, 3" x 5", as well. Those aren't the rookie cards and they have postcards backs instead of the player biographies.
