Default Unknown Baseball Autograph - help!

Hi everyone - We were cleaning out our office in Manhattan and found this signed baseball. We really have no idea who this is, but would guess that it's a NY-area player. Would also assume that it's relatively recent, since the ball has Selig's signature printed on it.

Any ideas?

I find it hard to believe anyone with any sports knowledge doesn't know Derek's autograph. Looks authentic also

Thanks, everyone, for the help! We actually found a second baseball in another drawer, also signed by Jeter. Anyway, yes, I am a sports fan, but don't have much experience with memorabilia. I'd guess that there are plenty of others who wouldn't recognize the signature.

I still find it hard to believe he didn't know who that was. One of the most distinctive autographs of a future HOFer. If you are in a business selling sports, you should know that signature

Not everyone collects autographs. Not everyone collects game used bats, for example. I could say something similar to all of you regarding a used bat of a specific player, but of course I understand that not everyone collects what I do.
