Default Salt Lake City Show - some dudes still living in the past. Wow.

Just popped in to a mall card show in SLC. 6 or 7 dealers, 2 customers (including me), and they are still asking 1992 prices. shake my head.

If there were any Pre-War cards there, I would've gladly paid 1992 prices.

Can you give us an example? Because vintage prices in 1992 were much lower than they are now. I've said it before too, but contemporary stuff isn't any cheaper now than it was than either. Now, if they are asking $75 for a 1988 Donruss Ruben Sierra "Future Stars" then I get what you mean.

Default 1992

If SLC is like some of the shows and shops around here, they are still asking $8 for a Donruss Griffey RC, $5 for a Sosa rookie, $80 for a McGuire rookie, etc, when in reality, most of these are now easily found in the quarter boxes.

Like that photo last year of the still surviving card shop in Georgia whose marquee item was page after page of Glavine rookie cards. You could literally make tens of dollars a year selling those.
