Default Babe Ruth cut on the way!

I posted this over on the Autograph Live website a few minutes ago but realized this is probably a more frequented forum.

Just picked this up through one of the major auction houses (not sure if I’m allowed to mention names but I’m sure it can be figured out pretty quickly) for sports cards and memorabilia as a wedding gift to myself haha but seriously, I liquidated a major chunk of my card collecting/prospecting to secure what to me and a lot of us is the holy grail or autograph collecting, a Babe Ruth signature.

Thanks to all the experts that have given opinions on raw and even authenticated Ruth autos, I feel (hope) I was able to secure a really nice PSA/DNA example. After studying his signature and your feedback, this seems to be a 1940s style signature with very typical characteristics of Ruth, aka, not some of the more iffy authenticated items.

Hope I did ok!

I’m no expert on auto authentication but all I know is that is big and bold. Really nice.

I'm also planning on doing the same thing. I'm just not ready to let some of my good stuff go yet in order to do so. Congrats!

Thank you! It was pretty tough to let some stuff go but in the end I think I’m making the right choice.

Well I can complain because basically all the so called experts on there are pretty much assholes. Hang out on there long enough and you'll figure it out. Enjoy the Ruth, it is an awesome piece.
