I have a version of this game with the Pee Wee and Durocher; there were a couple different editions I think. Adam Warshaw knows a bit more about it all than I do, perhaps he will post.

I might be interested in selling or trading mine as my collecting focus has changed in recent years.

Dave,

I'd be interested to hear what your collecting interests have changed to in recent years.

My main line of collecting now is my Topps type run, which covers all sports and non-sports they issued at retail through 1980, and certain NS Topps sets featuring the more well known comic and underground artists of the 60's and early 70's. I've pretty much stopped collecting full sports sets and have been winnowing them a bit the last couple of years. I also collect Topps corporate items to an extent.

Would you please enlighten me about the heritage or history of the ultra rare 1959 Mickey Mantle Yoo Hoo card, found with and without a half-inch thick white strip at the bottom of the card? Presumably, the white strip was meant for Mick to autograph it, or so I interpreted the space.....

Hope you can, and are willing, to divulge what you know.

Have a good evening. ---Brian Powell

That's cool. I have a few of those, but they're all intact. Kinda makes me want to punch one out for display.

There are four athletes in the set: Durocher and Reese from baseball, and Maxie Rosenbloom and Jack Dempsey from boxing.

OK, oddball? Lately I've been picking up transparency slides for my Yaz collection. These slides were produced by MLB and released to TV networks for use during broadcasts. I own 7 of these and have another one on the way to me. I have noted the year below each slide.

^ 1968

1978 & 79

1980

1981

1982

1983

Cool looking Yaz slides... You have seven; wonder how many of these the TV networks had?

My source says one was made each year of each player and that somewhere around 5 copies of each were produced, definitely less than 10. Very scarce, but not a lot of demand.

Based on those I have seen available and copies that I own for Garvey and other Dodgers, I doubt they are that limited. I don't know for sure, this is just speculation. As you said, the demand isn't great, but it seems they would be much more scarce if that were true.

Thanks for the info. I bought 7 different years of Yaz at an average of $11 each, so not a lot invested in them.
