Default PSA slab question

Hello All,

I am trying to figure out if a PSA slab is authentic or not. I have found plenty of information online but all of the discussion seems to concentrate on the label (different generations, etc.) Some of the sites go as far as detecting whether the slab has been opened or not. My question is more slab specific. I have seen a few PSA cards online with the new lighthouse label in which the PSA embossed logo at the bottom right looks different from each other. In one all the letters sort of align at the top while in the other the S is lower than the P and the A. Can anyone tell me if both slabs are authentic and it is just a difference in generation slabs? I understand the different labels but I am curious why cards that have the same label would have what appeared to be different slabs.

I am attaching a picture for your review. Not sure if you are able to tell the difference but there are plenty of examples on online auction sites. Thanks in advance for you help. Alex

I only have one new style PSA slab, I submitted it so it is good. It was from when they first changed to the new style slab. It has the design on the left.

Both could be good, I don't have others to compare.

Grabbed a stack of graded (no reason to suspect they are fake) cards I have here, and the vast majority of them have the 'odd' looking PSA logo, and here and there appears the aligned PSA logo. A definite mix of both.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

The flip itself is going to be more telling I would think, but you are probably good. To my knowledge most of the fakes are still pretty bad. I don't think any have tried to duplicate the PSA logo superimposed on the slab yet.
