Default Topps at Convention 1957 - Ted Williams

Posted By: Jeff Shepherd

This is a photo I recently dug up depicting "Topps Chewing Gum Corporation" at an industry convention back in the summer of 1957. You can see a beautiful life-sized Ted Williams display piece in the background, as well as a large Bazooka Gum sign. The three rep's photographed include Herman Fine - Field Sales Manager, Miss Joyce Shorin (likely a sister of the owners), and Charles Zubrin - Merchandising Manager.

Hey Jeff,
Nice picture there. Thanks for sharing. I just love the 57 set to pieces, one of my very favorites.

Is that a Cracker Jack display to the left of the Topps folks?

I don't think that's Cracker Jack next to them, but that would be an insane convention to stroll down the aisles of.

Hoping that Williams piece survived the last 50-years.

I am researching Charles Zubrin at the moment-he apparently is still alive and living in New Jersey!
