Reserve Auctions Annoy Me...
Posted By: Dan Mathewson
I never bid on them, virtually never. I say: Set it at a dollar or ten dollars, whatever, and let the bidders/market set the price. I get annoyed at the secret little reserve amounts. |

Reserve Auctions Annoy Me...

Reserve auctions protect a seller from getting low balled and allow people to bid the price up..therefore, letting the "opening" get going....there are many auctions, as I am sure you are aware, that have minimum bid amounts and then often don't meet reserve.... some wholesale car auctions come to mind.....at least this gives me another perspective though......best.. |

bidding doesn't hurt either because I ahve had several occasions where I was the high bidder and the reserve was not met, yet the seller agreed to sell the item to me at the bid I made. |
