Default Topps Super 70s

Anyone buy these off of Topps.com? I got 4 boxes...the odds of an auto were 1 in 3 and I did get one (Kingman). All the cards were perfect except the Ichiro which was totally trashed. How did it even happen? Do human hands touch these cards?

Dan---Topps Heritage once placed fake gum stains on cards to create variations, maybe this is "the hammered" variation

Not saying its what happened in this particular case necessarily, but I've pulled creased modern cards too. In one case, the creasing was quite severe and on several cards in a Heritage box. The depth of the deep creases made it evident that the sheet itself was creased before printing, and the images printed onto the stock after the creasing had happened. I could recreate a row on the sheet based on the sequencing and the creases, thought it was kind of cool actually because they were all commons. Still happens without tampering, that's for sure

Its too bad that Topps didn't stick to the theme of the set. There shouldn't be anyone that isn't from the 70's or active in the set. Too many players like R Johnson, Boggs, Mattingly, etc for my liking.

The Super 70's Twitter feed is great, they are the inspiration for the set.

If you follow the Super 70's Twitter, you should realize the feed is NOT limited to the 70's.
