Default Help with Louisville Bat Co Horseshoe bat

My barber found this bat while cleaning out his father's place. I am not a bat person so any help on identification, when made, value etc would be appreciated. I did a google search which yielded a lot of Louisville Slugger stuff. Removed Slugger from the search and got the minor league Louisville Bats and a lot of Bat removal services in Louisville KY.

Thanks in advance. Bruce

could be from around 1900

The Louisville Bat company with their familiar horseshoe logo along with the mascot model were sold to the H&B company in the 1920’s and they kept the line for a few years offering signature model bats of both minor league players. (from Mears site)

Beauty! Very rare to see that maker with the bulbous "Egg" knob. Nice decal as well... he cared for it extremely well, as overall condition appears to be in the top 2%.

Thanks everyone for the information. My barber's father had it in the shop to use in case he needed to defend himself. He has it in a bat case now. I will let everyone know if he decides to sell it.
