Default American League Baseball from 1938....

Could someone please post a picture or pictures of what an American League baseball would have looked like in 1938?

Thanks!

William Harridge as Pres. A couple of years later they started to put stars on either side of "OFFICIAL". In sure some other guys can chime in here, but Hunts has one up for Auction now...this one.

You the man B! You're correct about the stars, 1940-1942 two stars, 1943-1959 three stars.

Hi, Brandon, what about this ball? I thought it was from the 50's, but it only has one star. (It may be hard to see on the scan, but you can tell in person.)

Thanks, Ken

Well...its hard to judge from the picture, but I can definately see the 2 stars on either side of the " OFFICIAL ", but I cant see the star under " Harridge ". So with the 2 stars on either side of official, its a 40-45 ball, but if you can make out the 3rd star under Harridge, than its a 46-59 ball.
Hope that helps. Maybe post a pic with the lower stamped panel and the OAL panel, so we can see a little clearer.
Hopefully Brandon G can throw in his knowledge here. I dont want to throw you astray. He's the Guru.

Looks like 1951-1959 judging by the color of the stamping and the little bit of bottom logo I can see. If you can post a picture of the bottom panel I can tell you the exact year. Most likely the 3rd bottom star is just faded away.
