Default 1915 Federal League Scorecard

I just picked up a 1915 Federal League Scorecard. It is a 12 page Official Baseball Score Card for the Pittsburgh Rebels of the Federal League who were playing Buffalo. Dated from a couple of ads of political candidates inside showing date of primaries as Sept. 21, 1915.

Default Are you selling?

It just closed last night on Ebay for $810. You have it in hand already and are selling?

Taking a look on eBay, it appears this is the same one that sold for 810 a few days ago.

Hmm...Yes guys, that is what is called appreciation... If he gets his asking price, that is called realized value and substantial upside, AKA ROI LOL

Default Fast

Scott, I get it, but my question was posed because the post just said "I have this" essentially. No price quoted and barely a few hrs after it ended on Ebay, making it hard to believe that the guy actually had it in hand. I could care less if he ask for and gets 10x his Ebay price....fine with me. It just seemed odd to list it so fast and with no price attached. Chris

Chris - not trying to split hairs here but his quote actually was "I just picked up..." not I have this. Most times in a recent acquisition thread, I'll post "I just picked up ________________" and don't have it in hand. I think most of us will use the phrase "I just picked up" and that does not indicate we actually have it in hand.

Not trying to rustle any feathers here but I don't personally see anything wrong with the original post, nor, as you pointed out, should it matter if the piece just sold for $800 on eBay. I'm sure we've all purchased items in the past for below their true value.

Good luck on the sale.

Funny thing was I talked to the Ebay seller of this, 2 guys asked him to end the auction for $250.00. He said neither guy ended up bidding. Granted they might have be set to put snipes in at 400, 500 or something, and it just got past there high mark.

Does anyone ever end an auction early? Crazy if they do, cuz by them telling u 250, u know right then and there they are more then likely bidding at least 250 so why say ok I'll end it.

What's the market price for a Fed Program in this condition. I see on Legendary and Hunt in better condition they can range from 400-2000, so not really sure where the value falls on this one 400-2000. Hmmm.. If the new owner gets any takers we may then know.

Default 1915 Program

I actually had it in hand because the seller actually lives 10 minutes from my house and even thought the ebay auction ended that day I got it the same day since I was right down the road. I didn't know the person, just happened to work out that way. The program is real sharp, has a full page ad for Victor baseball which of course was the offical baseball of the federal league. I did pay $810 but they are very hard to find and the other three I have don't have the full page victor ad--so I count that as a real bonus. I am selling it for $1500 or keeping it---I don't think it will ever lose it's value and its sharp.
