Does anyone know if its common that the 1948 Leaf set seems to be in higher contrast and brighter than the 1949 Leaf set, |

My guess is the cardboard...48's are printed on glossier surface while 49's are printed on plain cardboard. |

The brighter looking 1948's are due to the White cardboard that Leaf printed them on. |

The 48 leaf football high numbers were also printed with both cream and grey backs. You really can see the difference. |
