Rios was the utility fielder for Santa Clara, arguably one of the greatest teams of all time, and Ramos is member of the Cuban Hall of Fame and played with the Cuban Stars in America.

Thanks Justin, fast shipping and great cards. I also got a T210-7 and a tintype featuring two african american ball players. Now off to go research them in David Rudd's book on photography.

1909 Sporting News M-101-2 Tigers team photo w/ HOFer's (Crawford, Jennings, & Cobb)
Cobb is sitting in middle row, on the right end. He looks as pleasant as ever.
Size of pic not including frame & matte 10" x 16" . Spot on photo is flash from camera.

The Asahi were a senior men's team in Vancouver, until the team was disbanded and the players interned as a result of World War II. This is signed by one of the players.

Picked this up in St. Louis Saturday. Went to the card show at the Two Hearts Convention center. I was also going to go the the Tri-Star show, but vendors and other patrons mentioned only one vintage table, higher prices, and an overall bland experience. Did anyone else go? Anywho- I bargained this one down to $50.00, which I thought was fair. What do you think

Couple more Cracker Jacks, one needed for my set and one I got cheap IMO, both are already out of there holders and about ready to be sent to SGC, just waiting for one more card to come in.

I have picked up a bunch more cards but they have already been sent to SGC.

Feel free to help with my last 20 or so needed cards....

James Gallo

Looking for 1915 Cracker Jacks and 1909-11 American Caramel E90-1.

I've heard the Tri-Star show here in St. Charles was pretty bad. Guess I'm glad I didn't go, thanks in large part to leaving my debit card in an ATM that day.

Anyway, this arrived today. Big thanks to Andrew P.

Damn Jeff - thanks a lot for stealing that card from under me

I bid what I thought was an insane amount for that card (over 600) and thought no way this gets topped - E93s are officially in the stratosphere. Now I may never be able to upgrade my set.

Josh, sorry about that, but I just loved that card. I'm only happy that it wasn't in an 84 as it would have cost me a lot more. And Frank, that Anson is really spectacular.

Jeff, I remember the thread you started regarding how to go forward with your collection as you used to collect sets only. Is this the beginning of your transformation into a Player collector?

I wish I could that say that was so but the 33 Goudey set is just too enticing to pass up until it's all done. I'm trying to get as many Chase cards in high grade that I can but they're few and far between in some of the more esoteric versions. I also can't seem to resist certain players (Cobb, Matthewson, Mantle) as they come up. King, basically your advice rang true regarding sets v. certain players -- collect both!
