Default Lou Gehrig's Voice?

Posted By: Ben

I was wondering if anyone could point me to a sound clip of Lou Gehrig's voice (other than the farewell speech)? Are there any known recorded interviews of the Iron Horse?

He has a speaking role in the 1938 movie "Rawhide".

Thanks for posting that clip. I actually own Rawhide on DVD. I was hoping somebody knows of an interview or something of that nature.

Jodi,
It's funny you posted a link to that comedy routine between Babe and Lou. I was actually asking for a Gehrig sound byte because I purchased an original 78 from the 30's featuring this routine between the two sluggers. I recently listened to it for the first time and was a bit surprised by the sound of Gehrig's voice. I was trying to confirm that it was in fact him.

Hard to tell that Gehrig was born, grew up, and spent his entire life in New York City, isn't it?
