Default The Kit Young/Topps hamster wheel

To cut out Kit Young as a middleman, I think it would be cheaper for Topps to repurchase their current T206 issue back from the wholesalers so they can recycle the original cards for their next T206 issue.

yeah, I noticed that. I'm just glad I decided to focus on the A&G Indian Chiefs for right now. No worries of Kit coming in and running up the prices on those any time soon.

Not anticipating the populatity of the cards, they short printed the first run. That is why boxes are going for $250 and up. True to form, Topps is scurrying to get another production run to market. This will have the typical effect & of driving prices downward due to oversupply the eventual ambivilance and boredom by collectors. To somewhat offset this, I heard Topps is going to insert HOF cards and the variations such as Demmitt & Ohara in the issue. I wonder if there will be a 2000 06 Plank forthcoming...?

Just in case you were confused by my first post (now that Kit no longer has the top bid--he was high at around $30.00).

If Kit wins any of these buybacks, will he remove them from their little card sleeves before sending them to Topps, or is Topps planning on touting 'original buyback' inserts in their upcoming issue, which they are obviously planning?

Brian

is get a hold of that bonehead who used to have the great color scanner and made copies of all the cards and went first to ebay, then yahoo, then ebay, then yahho and see if he can't come up with a really snazzy holder (massive sarcasm) like the Topps holder and I can put Vg cards in there and call them RARE TBob T206 cards WOW! L@@K.

Then Kit Young can buy them from you, turn around and sell them to Topps, and they can insert them in their next issue (seeded 1 in every 1000 packs) and call them the TBob T206 boughtback buyback subset inserts.

he was sniping 207 lots on Sunday also. Looks like he's not getting enough cards from the lots and has resorted to sniping single cards.
