judging by the slant on the bottom and that little mark down on the bottom border too - I would say definitely same card.

I wonder why they added that pimple on the bridge of his nose?

Seems to be the same card. Here is where it sold in the SGC 84 http://www.robertedwardauctions.com/.../2012/460.html. Attached is scan of the card as it appeared in the Mastro Aug 2007 auction.

On the SGC 84 card there is a print dot on his nose next to his left eye that is not on the first card.

I don't think I would have gotten that grade with either submission.

From the back view, the 84 in REA seems to be noticeably missing part of the top of the card where the stain is/was. The 80 looks more intact.

It looks like part of the top- back could be hidden by the black insert.

There are some print spots on the backs of both cards just to the right and lower right of Yankees. There is also a small horizontal blue print line on the border under the L in Lou, on both cards. If you look at the REA front scan from their site there is plenty of space between the top of the card and the bottom of the SGC insert. Nothing is being hidden...at least as far as the image is concerned.

Politely, You are absolutely wrong. The black insert can be seen covering the very top part of the back of the card in the REA link, near the left side. Anyone can see the little bit of black covering the card, though I am not sure that is where the stain is.

All due respect back to you, but you might want to read what I wrote. I never mentioned the image of the back of the card. I referenced the scan of the front of the card.

Further it should be noted that my posts are not intended to point out misconduct by SGC or REA.

Gotcha....I was referring to the back where it can clearly be seen that the black gasket is over a tiny part of the card. Sorry about that.
