Default 1954 Dixie Lids

Community,

Many of you guys know that I collect deaf athletes. Gil McDoguald had a major hearing loss during his playing times so I have been picking up many of his cards until I discovered some love in 1954 Dixie Lids. I have about 20 different ice cream brands that shows in the back of lids. I was hoping to find articles or posts about 1954 dixie lids to know more about this set. I wonder how many different ice cream brands was used and etc.

If you guys happen to have McDougald Dixie Lids, feel free to contact me.

Can someone post pictures for me?

Best,
Danny

A google image search found 12 very easily.
Considering how many small ice cream producers or shops that had their own brands there were back then I'd expect there might be hundreds of different backs

I'm with Steve. I'm guessing the number is fairly large. I only collect the Clint Courtney (Orioles) lids. I have these 24 in my collection and have seen others that I don't have. It would be interesting if anyone knows if certain players were only issued with certain backs, similar to Post Cereal and Jello cards being issued on select flavors.

Default lids backs

Alan,

So beautiful to see them all together! Many of backs you have that I never seen before. I hope to hit 50 backs one day. I did look up on your player on eBay and there's few that you don't have.

I wonder if this set have the most different backs of all the time?

Thank you for sharing. I look forward to see more!

Danny
