Why don't you start deleting anonymous posts or, better yet, start requiring log in.

I understand that requiring people to take six seconds and type in their username and password is such a hardship and is very very very very scary and very very very very very very intimidating to some lurkers and and some might cry and get a bad tum tum. But if they can do it, I promise I will pat them on the back and give them a lolly pop and will be understanding if their lip quivers.

And, Bill, next time you or Elliot claim that signing up is such an intimidating thing for newbies and lurkers, I will literally have Henry sit on my lap and have him sign up for his own Net 54 account. Though there will be some cheating, as I will guide his paws along the computer keys by holding his front legs.

Henry's vital statistics:
6 pounds
0 human i.q.
wears red and white coat with velcro fasteners when cold
shivers when cold or sleepy
eats his dinner alone on dining room table, or 10 pound brother will take his food
wears ferrit collar, as cat collors are too big
scared of the sound of keys jingling
has no fear about signing up at net54

Concur with the rat assessment. Cute, but still rat-like.

Be patient, David, the clampdown is on its way. If I turn it on without updating the FAQ's, I'm going to get bombarded with "how come I can't post?" emails. Probably will, anyway. Unfortunately, I've gotten myself into a predicament where I have to go to a big building every morning around 9am and stay there for 9 or 10 hours. It puts a cramp in my free time.

Bill

Bill, don't do that, I'd like to see the little rat sign up. BTW, David did you not read the rule where as "moderator emeritus" you can only invoke my name if praise is warranted. My name is verboten if you have a complaint.

There is currently no means of recovering a forgotten password, OK, so I DRINK A LOT. Without my drinking, I would never buy any cards on Ebay.

Elliot

If you're going to insult rats or dogs, or even rat-dogs, you have to post your own dog (which curiously, I didn't see any evidence of).

Here's the dog that was part of the team that beat you out for the W600...

Max

I've griped a lot, but the board is running smoothly. But since I gripe, here's a picture of my dog...who eats treats about the size of David's dog:

I happen to have a pet rat named Seamus (pronounced Shay-miss)and David's dog looks nothing like him. Sorry, no digital camera, so no scan. He is very cute though...

Despite the acquisition of the W600, Annie is forlorn at losing the Expos to DC. Oh well, there's always local hero Jeff Francis...

I vote for the beagle. I always vote for beagles. They're the Red Sox of dogs!

Bill,

Absolutely. Beagles are naturally attuned to the game of baseball.

Ok, it's not a dog and I hate cats, but this is the coolest cat I've ever seen. He is owned by a buddy of mine in Vancouver.

I saw weird stuff in that place last night. Wierd, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff. And I want in.

Max, you've probably seen him around town too. He is a short white guy with a Mr T Mandinka warrior haircut and drives around in several different art cars, his main one being a Rambler with fins higher than the roof. The guy is an artist, and quite good. He did the tats on the cat and makes a nice living from car art and other artwork. And scare ya even more, he's an ordained minister and legally had his name changed to Rot N. Hell. You could say he's a character
