Correct JP.

I was in San Francisco last week. My granddaughter was baptized at St. Peter and Paul Church. As I was leaving there was a display showing Joe and his new bride as they were married there November 19, 1939.

Well done!

Thanks! Bein named after Joe gave me an advantage.

When Lou Gehrig hit 4 HRs in a game, a teammate of his had more hits in the same game and the same number of RBIs. Name that player -- without googling it!

Tony Lazzeri? (just a guess).

After I guessed I went to retrosheet and for once in my life, I was right! Yanks beat the Athletics 20-13.

Here is another piece of trivia:

We all know Babe Ruth was a tremendous pitcher before he was moved to right field to keep his bat in the lineup. But has Babe Ruth ever pitched in a perfect game?

Wasn't he ejected after retiring one batter and then the perfecto was finished by Eddie Shore I think.

edit: or Ernie, whichever wasn't the hockey player

Default It's Not Reggie

Reggie and Catfish only have 2 with the Yankees; 77 and 78

and 3 with Oakland: 72, 73 and 74

My sister was married there. Been to a couple baptisms there, as well. Is the DiMaggio display relatively new? Don't remember that.

As you leave the church and turn right enter the first door on the right and next to the stairs that lead down to the restrooms and you will see a glass case with a nice pic of Joe and his lovely bride. Not really a display to him just something mixed in with other memorabilia from days past.

I love San Francisco!!
