Default 1911 NY Giants Original Gelatin Silver Team Photo

1911 NY Giants Original Team 1st Generation Gelatin Silver Photo. Christy Mathewson, Rube Marquard, Manager John McGraw, Chief Meyers and the rest of the 1911 National League Champions NY Giants are depicted in this photograph. Back of This Photo Board is the Autograph of Giants Pitcher Leon "Red" Ames. UPDATE: Thanks to fellow members who pointed out where this photo was taken at Spring Training, Marlin, Tx...There exist Marlin at the bottom of this photo....I did research further and found that this photo was taken at the Arlington Hotel - Baseball HQ in Marlin - I attached a photo of the Hotel with the same backdrop... Thanks again Net54 members for all your help and knowledge.

Default giants photo

This isn't quite right. Hilltop was this wooden dump and no part of the ballpark ever looked this grand.

It says "Marlin", I think, in the lower right corner. There are so many guys, about 40, that either this is two teams or a spring training photo. Could this be Marlin, Texas?

Could you run a larger scan. Nice image.
