Went through my safety deposit box yesterday and found this. I didn't even know I had it. I think my dad bought it for me at some point. Don't know if it's rare, common or what. |

In early 1888 Allen & Ginter commenced inserting The World Champions (N28) cards into their 10 cigarette Richmond Brand Cigarette packs. The promotion was an overwhelming success. Later in 1888 two newly designed World Champions cards were introduced. The replacement (N29) cards were inserted into the 10 cigarette packs and the (N43) cards were inserted into the 20 cigarette packs. All three sets consist of 50 cards in each set.

Amongst my favorites are Goodwin & Co. variations which can be tough when the team you collect was only around for the first 2 years of issue. |

In 1888 Goodwin and Company challenged Allen & Ginter by inserting the Goodwin Champions (N162) cards into their Old Judge & Gypsy Queen Cigarette packs.

A few of mine. I need to scan a few other things I own. First are Yale Murphy cabinet cards, Pach and Newsboy. Second is a trimmed large size Gypsy Queen card. Third, my Old Judge cards including Anson, Ewing and Rusie. |
