Default PSA Case (Gen 7) Tampered? Yes/No

I just bought this card on Ebay and want to get your all opinion. The owner said that he has owned the card since 2012 and bought it "from a reputable source." I recommended he refund me $10 + $10 S&H to get the card reholdered at PSA and sent back to me but he got very short with me and said no, and was offended that I would even suspect foul play. What are your thoughts on this holder? Since it is just one side, I'm thinking it could be ok, just want your thoughts. Thanks

Did he give you any insight as to what (supposedly) caused that hole?

Sorry, it is not a hole but frosted. See have way down from this link discussing the PSA Holder and the frosting potential issue. (https://bbcemporium.com/index.php?st...=mickey_mantle)

If you're not comfortable with the card and seller is being uncooperative, then file a "item not as described" claim and return it for refund.

Was this defect clearly visible in the auction? I would not refund either if you bought the card with a photo included. That's an issue to ask about before purchasing.

This case doesn't look compromised. It just looks like a minor case defect with PSA.

Whether he gets a refund is not up to the seller. If the seller didn't disclose the defect in the description, buyer has an easy "item not as described" claim and will get a refund. Ebay's rules, like them or not.

The spot in the case was clear in the picture provided in the ebay sale.

I don't know. I feel like if you see something in a scan and you have a question about it, the time to bring it up is before bidding.

I think most of us would agree with that. Problem is you can return anything on eBay for any reason for a very long time after the sale.
