Default 1948 Cleveland Indians Photo Pack question

Hello, sorry if this has been answered in a previous thread, I was unable to find anything searching.

On the Old Cardboard HOF list, there are a few players with Rookies options listed in the 1948 Cleveland Photo Pack (Doby/Paige/Lemon/Veeck/etc). On some of them, the list also references a 'much scarcer' end of season release in 1948 of a 4 on 1 photo pack issue.

Looking at some auctions (just ebay), there are a couple of complete 4 on 1 sets, that are listed as 'released sometime in the 70s'

My question is, was there actually a 4 on 1 set released by Cleveland after the World Series? If so, is there a way to determine you have the original or the later release? Or, is the mention of them on the Old Cardboard list in error?

Thanks!

The 4 on 1 has been in the Standard Catalog for years. Not sure on reprints.

Default not sure...

As a collector of these picture packs, I've been looking for a period 4x1 pack of the 1948 Cleveland Indians for some time now. All I have ever encountered are modern reproductions of the set, done in the 1970s to 1990s or so. I don't like to rule things out until I have exhausted the search, but I can say I have not seen one that was actually issued in 1948, at least not yet.

Thank you for the responses. Just purchased one that looked right... until I could hold it in my hands, and it's definitely not original. Just wondered, thank you!
