Default Can anyone help identify this?

Hi All,

My dad is a huge Red Sox collector and and has this Ted Williams piece that he hasn’t been able to identify what it is. It definitely looks like it was cut off of something, but not sure what. It is on a very sturdy cardboard.

Defiantly an advertisement cut from the 1950s - looks kind of like the image used for the lighters , wallets and other items sold back them. Ted Williams had so many different items and can be hard to tell.

Thanks for sharing!

Why are you being so "defiant"?

It is "definitely" better to cooperate!

When it came to sportswriters, the Splendid Splinter was definitely defiant and rarely diffident.

Mystery solved. It was from a box of Ted Williams Root Beer. They came in a 6 pack cardboard holder and this was on it.

Hopefully the root beer taste better than Moxie…..BLECCH. Obviously an acquired taste. I tried it once and was done after the first sip.

It is a New England thing. I always felt the same about beer. It all tasted like piss to me.

Thankfully, no. That is the only way I can describe how beer tasted to me when I tried it in my late 20's or early 30's. I could not stomach more that a sip or two. I was more of a Southern Comfort fan though I do not drink anymore. Never really enjoyed it and too logical to use it as an excuse to act like an idiot.
