Default Starting a T205 PSA mid-grade journey

Recently, I've decided to dip my toes into the T205 world. Instead of all SGC like my T206 runs, I've decided on mid grade (4-5) PSA. Here's my recent start. Safe to say I'm addicted. PS, looking for mid grade (or a little lower for SPs) if anyone has any PSA slabbed available.

Great job! That Probstein auction was amazing - seems like those cards were all submitted in 2021 or so. I wonder who had them raw and why they suddenly got graded. I picked up 5 cards in that auction, including the PSA 6 Speaker, which is gorgeous.

T205...Great looking cards and better value ( for now ) than the t206.

I'm working on a lower grade 205 collection.

Yes fabulous cards!

I am thinking about starting into a T205 set too...but would not likely be quite this high of grade (more like 2-3 range)

The T206's - 520 set have gone out of my stratosphere to jump in and try that one.

EXCELLENT start!

I LOVE T205s and HATED the fact that I completed my mid-Grade Master Set (minus a couple of oddball ones, like Collins - Yellow Elephant) - if you can imagine!

I will upgrade 'em FOR-E-VER!

One of my FAVES is Mr. Baker!

I recently completed the 208 card set plus a few a few of the variations, but in lower grade. Good luck on your journey. It sure is a beautiful set.

Great set/project, good luck.

A word of advice, if I may- buy the HOFers in higher grade than the commons, and the better the HOFer, the higher the grade; if that means taking it slower, so be it. So often you see sets with an average grade of X, and all the commons are higher graded and offset the lower graded HOFers to get to the average grade. To me, this makes little sense. The value is in the HOFers. So spend the money where the value lies.

That Speaker was a beauty! Jumped a bit much for me dipping my toes in.

Good luck on your journey. Learn about alterations and cuts before you get to deep and buy altered T205's in those pretty clear slabs.

Nice start to a T205 set. I dabbled in putting a lower grade set together, 3-4 yrs back and it was fun. I focused more on aesthetics (and centering and border chipping) than the technical grade. Great looking cards will always sell, if that time comes.

Good luck! T205s are great and I almost like them more than T206s - they have stats and info about players! also there are different backs too

Make sure you have a mix of backs or collect just one back type, it gets hard when looking around for them and will make it easy to pick them out.

Thanks for the post!

Jimmy
