Default 1910 Comiskey Park Opening Banquet Invitation**SOLD**

I acquired a group of items related to a Chicago sportswriter who was active from about 1906 to 1925. This item was in his collection.

Its a 1910 invitation to a banquet celebrating the dedication of Comiskey Park. The first game was on July 1, 1910 and the banquet for this invitation was held that evening.
The invitation is blank inside and has been folded horizontally when it was originally mailed. The back has some residue from being in a scrapbook.

The front reads

At the request of Charles A. Comiskey
The Board of Managers of the
Chicago Automobile Club
(13-19 Plymouth Place)
has the honor to extend to
Mr. M. A. Maclean
the courtesies of the Club for
Friday evening July first
nineteen hundred and ten

Banquet Celebrating Dedication
Chicago American League Ball Park
seven-thirty P.M. sharp

Probably the only surviving example
Price $**SOLD**.
