Default 1914 / 1917 Chi Sox World Tour

Anyone know anything about these tours and why Tris Speaker was a member?

Found an article for the 1914 world tour. Still looking for information about a 1917 world tour.

several non-white sox or giants players were involved. Sam Crawford, Ivy Wingo along with Spoke...probably just simply recruiting players they needed or knew would be draws for them

I want specifically want to know if a 1917 tour happened. On a quick google search, it didn't give any results for 1917.
