I think Henrich is right, and if so it must have been against Brooklyn. |

Mazerowski. I believe Mickey Mantle always said that losing that game was his worst loss not 1955,57 or 64 his other game 7 losses because he felt that the Yanks were far superior that year and outscored them big in the 7 games but still lost. |

There is no way it is Mazeroski (what's with adding the W to his name?) because Dusty Rhodes hit one in the Willie Mays "catch" game in 1954, but I still think Rich is right that Henrich did it before that. |

You can listen to Ol' Reliable hit his homerun on tape provided by MLB and John Miley of the Miley Collection. The broadcasting team is the Ol' Redhead, Red Barber, & Mel Allen: get yourself a copy and give yourself a treat. The entire series is available and the sound quality is wonderful. |

Ted is going to tell you that the term "walk off homerun" wasn't in use until the late 20th century, so the answer can not be a vintage game. |

Casey Stengel hit a famous WS inside the park homer. But I don't believe it was a walkoff. |

The first grand slam in major league history was hit by this guy, with his team down by three in the bottom of the ninth. By all accounts it was a prodigious shot. Who hit this "walk-off"? |

"Chicken on the Hill Will" Stargell hit 4 of the 12 Upper Deck shots at 3 Rivers, the longest though belonged to Greg Luzinski. Not sure who (Frank Thomas maybe?), but someone hit one in a Home Run Contest well over 500 ft. |

It was an inside-the-park homer; which may be the last one so far in WS history and the legend was that he completed the homer without his spikes on. |
