Why wouldn't you trust him. He "inheriated" the Plank from his grandpa. |

I suppose if you just inherited 10,000 cards from gramps, why not start with the Plank? |

Hasn't legendary ebayer "stew_p_dazzo" been looking to add a T206 Plank to his collection? Perfect opportunity. |

The Plank looks legit (front and back), so we can assume he stole the scan ? |

According to the rolex auction it's "for sale locally". Anybody here live in Moses Lake, WA and want to see if he really has it or not? If you check the PSA set registry there is a T206 set called Latzko's Passion that has a PSA 5 Plank in it. Unless the owner of that was his Grandpa something must be up because the pop report only shows one PSA 5 Plank. |

According to my records, this exact T206 Eddie Plank, PSA 5 card was last sold in the May 2005 Robert Edward Auction (lot 180). The auction and scan are online at this link: |

The REA Plank scan is just slightly crooked, tilting to the right on top. About 0.3 degrees. I wonder how this seller was able to duplicate that tilt so precisely. |

His "grandpas" Plank is also tilted if you look, he just stole the scans from the Ruth and the Plank! |

It seems that everybody who inherits a Wagner or Plank has a computer with the CAPS LOCK on. Maybe he will buy a new keyboard with his profit. |

Some people feel that the use of capital letters entirely will better convey just how rare the item is they are selling. |

He has listed a Ty Cobb with red background, eBay Item number: 260201556808. He also has a Lajoie card listed. Neither are graded (unlike the Plank, which ended early and the Babe Ruth cards). Also, his Rolex auction was removed. |

I got him to remove the plank, buy telling him I would buy it for $10,000. He agreed and asked me to send him half. I told him to take another scan with a current newspaper to prove the card was in his possession and I have not heard back from him since. Big scammer! Stay away from any and all of his auctions!!! |

Regarding the word "Resplendent," my son (also a collector) and I created a word last Summer that was intended to describe anything that was indescribably perfect. The word was "racqtigent." (We considered starting it was a silent "g," but decided against it). We hoped that it would catch on with some of the auction catalogs, but so far no luck. Feel free to use it. Thanks, Jack |
